How Can You Stop Reacting to Your Emotions? The Power of the Observer Self

 Most of us are trapped in patterns of reaction — anger, self-doubt, fear, guilt. It feels like those emotions are us.

But the truth is, you are not your emotions. You are the one who can observe them.
This is called the Observer Self — a state where you witness your inner world with both truth and love.

Some practices that help develop this:

  • Breath meditation – noticing the rise and fall without control.

  • Mindfulness – letting thoughts pass like clouds in the sky.

  • Prayer or reflection – aligning with something higher than your ego.

When you learn to live from this space, you stop being the storm and become the stillness behind it.
